We’re going to keep it as simple as possible!
- one player “breaks” to begin the game by shooting from 2 point range (the equivalent 3 point in normal basketball). If the shot is successful then the team keep the ball, if not the team that gets the rebound play on. breaking play is decided on a toss of the coin
- baskets are scored as 1’s and 2’s.
- after a successful shot, the shooter can take up to three 1-point free-throws, he then gets to keep the ball and check up at the top of the arc. Free throw scores are added to the teams sco re.
- in order to win, a team must make exactly 15 points; if they go over then they restart back at either 9 points
- no fouls are called unless there is blood or an excessive amount of body checking
- other typical basketball rules, such as out-of-bounds, travelling are also ignored
We want to enjoy the day and have a free-style game of basketball. Yes, play to win but also play to impress. Perform numerous flashy moves while attempting to drive to the basket, including crossovers, jab steps, and other fake-out tricks. Feature spectacular dunks and alley oops, impressive ball handling, and trash talking. Most of all play to enjoy.
